Greg Harris was born in California in September of 1976. His family moved to Philadelphia where he was raised. A 1994 graduate of Girard College, a private boarding school in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia. Greg has a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from Temple University. Greg currently lives in Norristown, PA.
After High School, Greg enlisted in the United States Navy as an Operations Specialist, rising to the position of Combat Information Center Watch Supervisor. During Greg’s time in the Navy, he participated two deployments; one in the Mediterranean Sea, and one in the Persian Gulf in support of the Global War on Terror and UN Sanctions on Iraq. Furthermore, Greg was awarded several citations and awards, including the Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist designation.
After looking for ways to become more involved in the Norristown community, in 2017 Greg was elected as a Committeeperson in Norristown’s West End where he currently serves as its Treasurer. Greg is also active in several Veteran’s Service Organizations including the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Greg has a daughter and three grandchildren who live in Philadelphia.
